MicroAir regulators are available in a wide range of ultra-low pressures, from 0–3 inches of water up to 0–5 psi. Extended ranges including 0–5", 0–10", 0–15", and 0–30" of water are also available on select models. The appropriate range depends on your extrusion process and tubing material requirements.

MicroAir regulators are offered in three control interface types: Manual (30-turn precision knob), Contact Closure Input (accepts Air Up/Air Down signals from a diameter gauge or controller), and 0-10V Analog/PLC Input for automated or high-speed programmable switching. MicroAir IV models use a precision voice-coil linear motor with viscostatic damping, achieving a response time of less than 0.1 second (typically 20 milliseconds) for a 50% full-scale step. MicroAir I and II models use a standard response mechanism with a full-scale response time of approximately 2 minutes, suitable for steady-state diameter control applications.

Yes. MicroAir IV models are specifically designed for bump and taper tubing applications. Their high-speed 0-10V input and precision voice-coil motor enable programmable switching between pressure set points at sub-100ms speeds, allowing the extrusion system to rapidly change tubing OD profiles for tapered or variable-diameter catheter or medical tubing production.

For multi-lumen tubing, you need one channel per lumen. OLC offers dual-channel (2-lumen), 3-channel, and 4-channel MicroAir units in a single stainless steel enclosure. Each channel can be configured with a different pressure range and its own display and output option, providing independent, precise control over each individual lumen during extrusion.
