An ultra-low air pressure regulator controls the internal air pressure inside an extruded plastic tube as it exits the die. By maintaining precise air pressure — sometimes below 1 inch of water — the regulator supports the tube's shape and controls its outside diameter during free extrusion, preventing collapse or dimensional variation.

MicroAir regulators are available in pressure ranges from 0–2 inches of water up to 0–5 psi. Specific ranges include 0–3", 0–5", 0–10", 0–15", and 0–30" of water, as well as 0–3 psi and 0–5 psi. MicroAir I models offer manual control via a precision 30-turn adjustment knob. MicroAir II models add contact closure inputs for integration with O.D. gauges and diameter controllers.
