For plastic tubing extrusion, you need an ultra-low pressure regulator capable of controlling pressures below 1 inch of water, which standard industrial regulators cannot achieve. MicroAir units are purpose-built for this application and are available in pressure ranges from 0–2" of water up to 0–5 psi to match your specific line requirements.

MicroAir replacement regulators are available in three control types: manual (30-turn fine adjustment knob), contact closure input (Air Up/Air Down from an O.D. gauge or controller), and 0–10V analog/PLC input for high-speed automated control. Select the type that matches your existing extrusion line interface to ensure a seamless drop-in replacement.

The number of channels corresponds to the number of lumens or air circuits in your tubing. Single-channel units suit standard single-lumen tubing, dual-channel units handle two-lumen products, and 3- or 4-channel units are designed for multi-lumen medical and catheter tubing. Each channel can be configured with a different pressure range and display option.

Standard response MicroAir I and II models reach full scale in approximately 2 minutes and are well suited to most manual and contact-closure-controlled extrusion lines. High-speed MicroAir IV models respond in under 0.1 second (typically 20 ms) and are required for bump and taper tubing applications or PLC-driven automated diameter control.

MicroAir replacement regulators are available in pressure ranges from 0–2" of water up to 0–5 psi, including 0–3", 0–5", 0–10", 0–15", and 0–30" of water, and 0–3 psi and 0–5 psi.
