MicroAir Regulator for Taper Tubing Extrusion

MicroAir regulators are available in ultra-low ranges starting from 0–3 inches of water up to 0–5 psi. Some models, such as the MultiAir 3-channel MicroAir I, extend to 0–30 inches of water and 0–3 psi. The appropriate range depends on your tubing material and extrusion process requirements.

MicroAir I uses a manual 30-turn knob for set-point control with standard response (~2 minutes). MicroAir II adds contact closure inputs for automatic control via a diameter gauge, also with standard response. MicroAir IV uses a 0-10V analog or PLC input with a precision voice-coil motor delivering high-speed response under 0.1 second, ideal for bump and taper tubing applications.

Yes. MicroAir IV models accept a 0–10V analog input and can be connected directly to a PLC or any control device. MicroAir II models accept contact closure inputs (Air Up / Air Down) from an O.D. diameter gauge or controller. This enables automated, closed-loop control of tubing outside diameter during continuous extrusion production.

Single-channel units suit standard single-lumen tubing. Dual-channel units handle two-lumen products or simultaneous OD and sizing air control. Three-channel and four-channel MultiAir units are designed for complex multi-lumen catheter and medical tubing where each lumen requires independent, individually ranged pressure control.
