MicroAir Regulator for Balloon Tubing Extrusion

MicroAir regulators are available in a range of ultra-low to low pressure options, from 0–2" of water and 0–3" of water at the ultra-low end, up to 0–5 psi for higher-pressure applications. Multi-range models can cover 0–3", 0–5", 0–10", 0–15", and 0–30" of water as well as 0–3 psi and 0–5 psi, giving manufacturers flexibility across different tubing profiles and materials.

MicroAir I uses a simple 30-turn manual knob for set-point adjustment and provides standard response times (~2 minutes to full scale). MicroAir II adds contact closure inputs from OD gauges or external controllers with dual-speed up/down buttons. MicroAir IV features a high-speed voice-coil motor accepting 0–10V analog or PLC input, with response times under 0.1 second — ideal for bump and taper tubing applications.

Yes. MicroAir II models accept Air Up / Air Down contact closure signals from OD gauges or external controllers for automated diameter correction. MicroAir IV models accept 0–10 volt analog input, enabling direct PLC integration for programmable, high-speed pressure switching — particularly valuable in bump and taper tubing and automated extrusion lines requiring closed-loop diameter control.

The number of channels corresponds to the number of lumens you need to control independently. Single-channel units are suited for standard single-bore tubing. Dual-channel units control two lumens simultaneously with independent set points. The 3-channel and 4-channel MultiAir units provide separate pressure regulation for each lumen, with each channel capable of having its own range, display, and output option.
