High Precision Proportional Controls for Automating Analog Driven Devices.Motorized Potentiometers are used in a variety of industrial automation and process control applications such as speed controls, flow meters, tensioning motors, etc., by allowing automatic remote control in addition to use of a manual control knob. A geared servo motor, slip clutch and single or multi-turn potentiometer form the motor pot. The different gear boxes in the motorized potentiometer enabling run-up and run-down time settings varying from 10 to 300 seconds. OLC manufactures all its motorized potentiometers from the highest quality components available. The main characteristics of our motorized potentiometers are smooth performance, high linearity and resolution, reliable terminations and durability. Series MC (DC) and MAC (AC) models are available with single turn or ten turn, wirewound or conductive plastic, and single or multiple gang potentiometer. The slip clutch protects the potentiometers end stops, and allows for manual adjustment. On Line Controls offers manually adjustable motorpots which combine a highly reliable potentiometer, with a slip clutch, geartrain and motor in a single panel mount assembly. Motor controlled potentiometers give wide latitude in speed control.

Potentiometer Choices:Single Turn Potentiometer for low resolution applications.
Multi-turn for more power, better resolution, linearity, and setability than a single turn.
Conductive Plastic element for long life and essentially infinite resolution. For use when wiper current will not exceed 5 milliamps.
Wirewound element for better stability and lower temperature coefficient. For when using the potentiometer as a variable resistor. Wiper current must not exceed 50 milliamps.
Hybrid element is made with conductive plastic over a wirewound element. Lower inductance, better resolution and longer life.

DC Voltage Motorized Potentiometers
MC and ME Series:
Best performance at low currents, typically 5 to 20 ma.
Choose 6, 12, or 24 VDC
RPMs 1, 3, 5, 10, 18, 35, 61, or 120.
Other RPM's are available.
All DC motorized potentiometers have a +/- 20% RPMs.
All motors have a 6" red and black connector wires from the motor.
Special cabling harnasses can be made, send specifications, for a quotation.
DC motorized potentiometers can be made ROHS compliant upon request.

AC Motorized Potentiometers
All AC motors are equipped with a reversible 115 VAC motor.
A limited number of optional 24 VAC motors are available.
RPM's available 1, 5, or 10 RPM NEW 2 and 3 RPM motors (pear shaped) now available.
Special cabling harnesses can be made, send specifications, for a quotation.
All AC models include starting capacitor and dynamic braking diode. Some models have a circuit board with mounted starting capacitor, breaking diode and solder terminals.
